Glasstec History

Ron mastered both the trades of waterproofing and glass in the 80’s after working for a large commercial business in North Carolina; and learned to appreciate how glass and waterproofing work hand in hand. He returned to his home in Socastee outside of Myrtle Beach after Hurricane Hugo hit in 1989 and offered clean up and repair services for local residents and businesses that were affected by the storm. This inspired Ron to begin his own company and in 1992 Glasstec was launched. Amy was born and raised in Myrtle Beach. She joined Glasstec full time in 1994 after graduating from Coastal Carolina University. Since then, Glasstec has built a well-

diversified and highly trained team to provide you with an extensive list of quality products and services. In 2004, Travis Collins joined Glasstec with a focus on the glass/glazing division. His passion and detail oriented work ethic has been an incredible asset to the company. As of 2017, Riverlee Weaver joined Glasstec and is learning the trade hands on directly from her parents. She is excited to help lead Glasstec, Inc. into the next era!
