Glasstec History

The owners of Glasstec, Ron and Amy Weaver, have been proud residents of the Grand Strand for decades. Ron mastered both the trades of waterproofing and glass in the 80’s after working for a large commercial business in North Carolina; and learned to appreciate how glass and waterproofing work hand in hand. He returned to his home in Socastee outside of Myrtle Beach after Hurricane Hugo hit in 1989 and offered clean up and repair services for local residents and businesses that were affected by the storm. This inspired Ron to begin his own company and in 1992 Glasstec was launched. Since then, Glasstec has built a well-diversified and highly trained team to provide you with an extensive list of quality products and services. They pride themselves on their integrity and the fact that they can stand behind the work that they do!
